I have been making some fabric leaves use glitter tulle fabrics. You can make them too using simple sewing supplies such as scissors, needle, and thread.
I have my glitter tulle fabrics from sewing supplies stores near my place. They come in plenty of attractive colors; dark green, humus green, maroon, red, blue, white, etc.
To make a glitter tulle leave, first of all you have to cut the fabric into a 9 x 9 cm square. Then, fold the fabrics in the middle into a 4,5 x 9 cm rectangle (doubled).
After that, fold the left and right sides of the rectangle into a triangle with open fold in the middle. Start a running stitch at the bottom of the triangle while maintaining the shape. When finished, pull the thread and you will have a nice leave shape.
To make a perfect leaf tip, I usually make the right and left folds overlap a little in the middle. Thus, when the thread is pulled, I can get a tight leaf tip that won’t open easily.
You can use the leaves to add decorations to your fabric flowers for brooches, bandanas, hair clips, and more.
Hope my illustration can help you.
