If you love sewing and scrapbooking, you will love adding padded appliques on your crafts. Padded applique is a 3D embellishments with puffiness to make craft works stand out and easily attract others’ attention.
Padded appliques work like any embellishment on a scrapbooking paper, only that it is in 3D shape. From Wikipedia, applique means “a smaller ornament or device applied to another surface”. Added the term ‘padded’ to it makes the ornament/ decoration/ adornment looks puffy and has three dimensional figure.
On the picture, you can see my collection; a butterfly padded applique. The wings of the butterfly consist of two different materials; glitter and satin fabrics. The butterfly looks puffy because the wings are stuffed with some kind of foamy material.
Attaching padded appliques to craft materials can be used by glue guns or craft glues. Just make sure that you have already got your design in mind, because once the applique is glued it’s very hard to detach it.
