I made some flat yoyo flowers using my Japanese cotton fabric collections. The picture on the right shows you what the flower looks like.
This flat yoyo flower is another cotton fabric flower, only this one is flat, gathered, and a bit fluffy. I like the fluffiness of the flower and the gathered lines that make the flower look real.
You can use this flower for making headbands, bows, or necklace. In order to make this flower, here are the supplies that I use:
- Japanese cotton fabric
- Needle & thread
- Glue gun & glue stick
The steps to make the flat yoyo flowers are as follow:
5. Arrange all the petals and glue them one by one, slightly on top of each other. Glue the first and last petals overlapping one another.
6. The result of the flower:
Info: I used Sizzix Big Shot machine and framelits circle dies to cut the fabric into circles. However, you can always use common fabric scissors and round templates.
